Sometimes in a web designer's life, the process of development is less than ideal.
Instead of asking the client about their target audience, their business model and the goals of the website, you find a blurry fax with 4 paragraphs of text and a business card on your desk. To make matters worse, someone quoted them a $500 price tag.
So, you shoot from the hip, cut some (or a lot) of corners, and still produce an attractive site that the clients loves and is profitable for the company.
